What if Maka Albarn had never dealt the finishing blow upon Asura? What if all she did was knock him unconscious? With all the conflicting and confusing emotions raging within his body, it wouldn't have been hard to do. Let's say he lived:
Maka never killed Asura, merely knocked him senseless, not that he had much common sense to begin with, and DWMA picked him up, and in a bout of pity, Shinigami-sama, once again, tore away Asura's flesh, and sealed him back within it. This time, however, Shinigami-sama made sure to let nary a soul know of this; the rest of the magical world deems him dead, and Shinigami-sama wants it that way.
Life has resumed as normal; Black Star and Tsubaki still at a loss of souls and Maka and Soul still riding the cool train. Kid still fussing over symmetry, Liz still afraid of ghosts, albeit not as bad, and Patti still breaking origami necks. However, not long after Asura's defeat and re-concealment, has a series of unexpected events began to occur;
A new enemy has arisen and she is also a Kishin who goes by the name of Lyssa Mavia. She is neither with Asura, nor against him, opting to cause her own brand of destruction, and has become problematic for the DWMA as she has formed a following; The Manea. Lyssa, and her eccentric underling and the worser half of Kid, Death the Kit, have begun to spread madness through the world, a little bit at a time, destroying small, lesser known places, and pushing their luck slowly. Soon enough, they set their sights on the DWMA.
The school did all they could to fight The Manea, but even with Shinigami-sama there, Lyssa was able to set Asura free once again (albeit unintentionally).
With the chance that Asura may go to her side, followed by a massive army comprised of Witches and Weapons and Meisters who have been taken over by madness, Lyssa Mavia has plans to do more than watch the world consume itself with madness; She plans on taking over the world first, then watch it crumble.
Starting with the DWMA.
Can Shibusen save the world yet again, or will Lyssa and her powerful army claim the world?
