Two years ago a young girl by the name of Chihiro entered the spirit world, a place of danger and adventure. Her parents turned into pigs, she took on a job at Yu-Babaa's bathhouse. Meeting Haku and new friends, they helped her overcome her fears and take on the witch. Taking a test at the end of her journey, going from being a scared little brat to a mature young lady. She freed her parents, and went with Haku. Chihiro bid farewell to all her new friends, sad to leave and stood at the stairs with Haku. There they made a promise to see eachother again, she loved him and he her......but she left back to her world.
Now two years later, Chihiro has made new friends in the human world and is enjoying her new school. Everyday she looks for Haku, hoping he would keep his promise. But he never shows, and now on the news it has been said people have been disappearing down the forest road. No trace of them found, but Chihiro knows where they have gone.
Willing to leave her world behind again, Chihiro ventures back through the familiar tunnel and into the spirit world once more. Not wanting to go back to her life in the human world, she decides to visit the bathhouse. In order to find the missing people, and reunite with Haku she would even risk signing a contract again with Yu-Babaa. And maybe one day, go to the last stop on that train with Haku.
