Geki watched with a frown at the landscape before him, amber eyes narrowing in a silent gaze. It was the first time that he had journeyed to these parts of the world and he thanked the deities that he had the foresight to leave the young child that he was caring for with a trusted friend. The man sighed; the vast white emptiness was trying to crush his spirit. He was undoubtedly, unmistakably and utterly lost! The Yajuu deserter had half a mind to recklessly rush on ahead, but another part of him wanted to take it slow and just enjoy the sights and sound.
The man was almost invisible in the settings, with his white hair and the overall white colour of his outfit. It was a blessing to be camouflaged so out in the open. Another sighed escaped the amber eyed Geki and he looked on ahead, since becoming a deserter his life had become quieter. With the lack of hunters sent his way because of his S-rank status and his talent for staying below the radar, Geki had almost no encounters with enemies. He had to blink at that, because that was what he wanted when he left his village but somehow he had gotten bored with nothing to do.
When he looked up at the sky, Geki found that the sun was going to set very soon and realized that he needed to find shelter soon. Searching the surroundings, the white haired man found a small empty cave at the base of a cliff and decided that it would make a good base as any. Sitting himself at the mouth of the cave, Geki placed and unrolled the giant of a scroll in front of him.

Rina had spent the last two days traveling from the confines of the Hidden Mist Village to the isolated Snow Valley. She had gotten permission from the Mizukage to leave the city to train in an entirely different, and harsh environment. She had ventured here once before, with her father and brothers, but that was over ten years ago. It was an excellent place to practice because the conditions were unpredictable and you always had to be on your guard. After a recent defeat in battle, Rina decided that it was time to return to the Snow Valley for an intense training session.
When Rina finally reached her destination, the sun was low in the sky and darkness would soon cover the valley; she should probably set up camp. She set her back pack down and stretched her long limbs, which were tight and sore from two days of hiking. She unhooked the tent and began attaching the poles, stakes, and tarp. Once that was done, she brought her pack inside and stripped off her warm parka and boots. In the middle of the tent, there was a spot for a smile fire, which Rina stocked with with wood; it would be essential to start, or else she would surely die from the cold, but Rina had a secret ingredient to help her with that. She reached into her bag and pulled out a vial with bright orange liquid inside, and poured a drop onto the logs and instantly roared to life. Liquid fire. One of Rina's latest inventions.
Rina peeked outside the door to see the sun just beginning to dip below the horizon. Perfect, there was still plenty of time to train before the weather turned. Rina quickly changed out of her warm traveling clothes and into tight black training pants, a loose blue top, and tall boots. She then tied her hair up into a ponytail and climbed out of the tent. The air was frigid and crisp, but Rina would have to learn to endure it. This was the reason she was here, to become even stronger.
Rina created four clones of herself to spar with. They positioned themselves in a circle around her. Rina took a deep breath in, closed her eyes, and positioned herself into a fighting stance. She opened her eyes in an emerald flash, and in less then a second performed a series of hand signs. Teppoudama. Water formed in Rina's mouth, shaping into a dense bullet, which she shot at the first clone in front of her. One down. Rina formed more hand signs, Mizu no Muchi . A water whip formed in her right hand, which she used to take out the two clones to her left and right. This gave time for the fourth clone to retreat to a safe distance. Rina formed more hand signs as she searched the barren white landscape for her last target. Mizu no Tatsumaki. She spotted her, aiming the large tornado of water in her direction. The attack barreled across the valley, giving the clone no time to escape. When it was crushed in the attack, Rina released the jutsu, letting the water crash down to the Earth.
The sun had now set and the moon had lit up in the sky. The stars were blacked out by dark clouds in the sky, no doubt of a storm brewing. Rina stood out in the cold, feeling at peace with the world around her. She was alone. At least she thought she was.
