Sasuke had returned to Orochimaru's lair a few weeks ago. The dark claustrophobic setting still bugged the heck out of him, but it was the closest thing to home he had. It was also better than hanging out in caves and other akatsuki bases. He didn't feel that he was truly working for Akatsuki or Madara. They were simply a tool to be used to further his own goals. That goal being to wipe out the leaf village. Though he felt that he wasn't a servant, he still had obligations to the akatsuki. If they needed him, he'd come out to help. However, he'd rather be as far away from them as possible until needing him.
Sasuke was not completely alone however, his team was around somewhere. Suigetsu was probably out and about the village messing around. For Suigetsu, messing around usually involved killing. Sasuke told him not to do so as to keep a low profile, but with Suigetsu, you never know what he'd do next. He imagined Karin was out at the shops or something girls like her tended to do. Juugo, was probably around the lair somewhere seeing as he didn't like going out much on the chance his murderous urges became to powerful. If he wasn't around here however, he was likely being watched by Suigetsu or by Karin.
Sasuke was getting bored. And to Sasuke, being bored meant the risk of being lazy and being out of practice. He began practicing his taijutsu in the privacy of his room. He then took out his sword and practiced different cuts and slashes.

A team of masked shinobi leap from tree to tree like shadows of each others blur. The move without making noise. The rustling of the leaves brushing in the same rhythm of the wind. A masked man turned around and gave a signal. "This is the place." He voiced over as he and Sakumo dropped down and the other two ventured off. Sakumo noted that they where about to encounter the lair that once belonged to a fearsome snake. "We need to be chearful not to fall into a trap. The other nodded without whispering a word. He knew his role in this mission. Provide cover and support to Sakumo as he entered the hidden Lair seemingly abandoned by Orochimaru. The anbu stood guard as Sakumo made his entrance. Feeling the hard etched out stone with his fingertips. His hands clothed in a fingerless glove for better grip of his weapons.
Armed with his unique weapons ready in a instant he moved forward. The leaf had most likely had seen this hide out before and hadn't told anyone about it. Of course it was on a need to know bases only. But Sakumo felt like they should have told all the Black ops working for the leaf. You see Sakumo was born in the hidden cloud village but he always had strong connections to the leaf his father being the third Hokage. Never revealing his identity to the hidden leaf village he was allowed to work under both villages and try to maintain the peace between them Sakumo walked threw the dim hallways covered in dust and decree. Spider webs filled the celling with there thread. Small mice scattered about the dirt floor. Sakumo was not bothered by the scenery. Any ninja would have been used to this sort of thing.
Sakumo actually liked it which was odd. He would rather spend his days in a place like this rather then a fancy hot spring or something. It was just in his nature to be in a more old aged place. Sakumo turned a corner and sounds of another precence was echoed threw the narrow paths. Sakumo had very good hearing and had the slightest hint of hearing the wind move about rapidly as Sasuke trained. Sakumo took out a kuni and ran straight ahead while wrapping a ninja wire to the end of it. Sakumo stopped in his tracks his face as if he seen a ghost. He was glad he had the mask on to hide his shameful expression. Sakumo snapped into reality after a few moments of watching Sasuke. "Uchiha?" He simply said and then he bowed down all of a sudden. He slipped the kuni inside his sleeve hoping he would not have to use any violence here.

Sasuke turned to see Sakumo bowing to him. He smiled as his sharingan directly met Sakumo's eyes. Sasuke seemingly bursted into flames and appeared behind Sakumo, sword drawn and pointed to the back of the intruder's neck. Sasuke knew Sakumo was in his lair the moment he set foot inside. He had deployed a genjutsu to distract the intruder. He noticed the Anbu wear and was not surprised at all. It made sense for an Anbu to be able to get through. However, only an experienced Anbu would have been able to get through his defenses. The sound of explosions set off in the distance. It appeared that this man's team had had walked into his traps.
He charged his sword full of chidori electricity but did not strike Sakumo. "Curious. Just curious. Well, you're here and you're alive. How long do think this will last? What are you here for? Leave now or I will feel at peace at destroying an intruder in my home as I am justified to do so." Sasuke said coldly. Sasuke was intrigued however of Sakumo, a rare accomplishment by all means. If he did not need to kill him, than he would not. Sure he discovered his base, but Orochimaru had several others he could use so this was not to big of a problem. The light of the electrity flashed back and forth. The light revealed a slight shine as it disappeared and reappeared. Now what could that be? Sasuke asked himself sarcastically. The light reflection was faint and slender. A wire no doubt. However Sasuke was not particularly aware of what trap the wire led to. He did not care however. With his sharingan, he'd be able to counter it if he need to.
