PERSONALITY:
Determined- Neji wants to grow as a ninja and to be undefeatable. His determination is evident due to him becoming jounin quicker than his peers.

Intelligent- Often called a genius, he is quick to learning new abilities as well as creating strategies.

Not one for comedy- Neji hardly ever laughs and tends to remain serious no matter the situation. He doesn't even tend to laugh around Gai or Lee.

Calm- Not one to lose his cool, Neji is known for keeping a calm mind and to think before taking actions.

Understanding- As a smart young man, Neji has learned to take all sides of the issues into account and then to make a decision after looking over what seems to be the best course of action.

A good leader- As a jounin, he has been entrusted to lead his own missions at times and that means he must lead his own squad. He is a capable leader because he is smart, and cool under pressure. He even leads Lee and Tenten when they are not with Gai.

TECHNIQUES:
Byakugan- See through solid objects and has nearly 360 degrees of vision. Blind spot is at the vertebra near the back of the neck. Area is known as the third thoracic vertebra. Can also see chakra points in the body.

Eight trigrams empty palm- To perform it, the user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit.

Eight trigrams mountain crusher- A more powerful variation of Eight Trigrams Empty Palm. The user hits the target at close range with a powerful wave of chakra. The attack sends them flying back into a rock or wall, causing severe damage.

Eight trigrams palm rotation- Spins at high speed with a chakra barrier covering the user to add range. Used for pushing back opponents at high speeds and to deflect attacks.

Eight trigrams 64 palms- This technique is used to close off the flow of chakra through sixty-four chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move.

Gentle fist style one blow body- Using their ability to expel chakra from every chakra point on their body, a member of the Hyūga clan can hit their opponent with a blast of chakra that will send them flying away from the user.

WEAPONS: Kunai, shuriken, and paper bombs.

HISTORY: As a child Neji was raised under the secondary family of the Hyuga clan where he was taught that his only duty was to serve the main branch. Branded with a cursed seal, he is under the control of the main family and if he so upsets them, they can use this seal to kill him or cause him immense pain. This however seems to not a threat any longer because both branches seem to have made peace with each other. It took the death of Neji's father for that practice to die out.

Neji blamed his father's death on the main branch and had showed distaste and hatred for them when he was younger. This was apparent when Neji nearly killed his cousin Hinata during his first chunin exams. He felt that he was more deserving to one day lead the clan but hated her because he was destined to remain a servant.

Neji used to think that all things were destined and that he could do nothing to better his life and that no one could change their lives to better themselves. Once a failure, always a failure. He was proven wrong of this when Naruto, once a low pathetic ninja defeated him in a tournament in the chunin exams. Afterwards, after learning that his father's death wasn't the main branches fault, he grew to accept them. He now hoids respect and admiration for Naruto and Hinata.

He was part of the team that Shikamaru formed to retrieve Sasuke from Orochimaru's henchmen. He was forced to fight to the death with Kidomaru, a spider themed ninja where he nearly died despite having killed his foe. After the mission failure he strived to become a better ninja. Two and a half years later Neji become the first of his peers to become a jounin. He has helped rescue Gaara by fighting Kisame to let Naruto get by with less difficulty.
