Kentaru beamed. He had answered the questions truthfully and from the heart. And although he was late, he had still managed to make a good impression on his sensei. Hopefully his teammates thought well of him, too.
At the end of Ryouchi's speech, he stood up to follow his teammates. He caught up to Ren and lightly elbowed her arm. "Ren, don't be so hard on yourself. You're the strongest kunoichi I know." He smiled, hoping to make her feel better. He wanted to say that she was the most beautiful girl he knew, too. But that wouldn't be the cool thing to do.
He then looked over to his other teammate, assuming he knew how to climb trees and walk on water. "Yo, Dashe," he said. "You up for that race?" Kentaru had never been to the Valley of the End, so it would be an adventure. |
