Team Ryouchi

[DASHE STORM]

Dashe smiled sheepishly at the scolding then pressed his glasses up and bowed apologetically now. "Sorry bout that and I'll make sure to remember that," Dashe replied to his new sensei. He mentally berated himself for ruining his first impression with them. Showboating like that they probably thought he was cocky or something. He then turned to glance at the girl and smiled sheepishly again waving back. "Again sorry for the interruption before. You know my name now may I get yours?" He glanced at Ryouchi signaling he wanted his as well. His ears perked at the mention of food now and graciously accepted some with a nod.

"Thanks for that. Sure I can help her out we are teammates now after all so we can train whenever she wants. Gotta perfect my own kekkai genkai myself after all." So their third teammate hadn't arrived yet then. Hopefully they came soon so they could get started with whatever their sensei had planned. He wondered if anyone really knew about their clan. The flash body jutsu was a beauty to behold but he had yet to perfect his own thought he had mastered the flash palm and flash step jutsus. Ryouchi seemed to be giving her a lesson on walking up trees and whatnot so he reached into his pouch and pulled out a small blue book flipping it open and began silently reading it ears focused incase they had any questions for him.

[YAJUU REN]

Ren looked over at Ryouchi, she covered her mouth with the back of her hand and giggled after hearing that Dashe was trying to impress her, all she would have to say, if she could, that it did. I thought he was impressive. She thought to herself as she stood up. "Oh. I'm Ren Yajuu." Ren smiled big watching Dashe walk to get some of the food that Ryouchi had brought. After hearing that their new teammate shouldn't, she looked over at her sensei and then back at Dashe. "Haha, don't listen to him, I can multitask!" She winked at Dashe.

"Well, I better get back to practicing while we wait for our last team member." She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. Just think about my chakra going to me feet that's all. Ren then opened her eyes and walked up to the tree quickly. The first few steps she felt herself cling to the bark, but then her excitement got the best of her and then she felt herself slip. "Oh, crap." Her eyes widened as her back hit the ground and her breath escaping her lungs. "Note to self: Never get too over excited." Ren coughed out, sitting back up.

[KENTARU RYOICHI]

"RYOICHI!" Aime, his mother, shouted from downstairs. Only his mother called him by his first name. "You better be awake. You're supposed to meet your teammates today."

Oops. Ryoichi jumped out of bed in a panic. How could he have forgotten the most important day in his life thus far? He quickly ran into the shower, and just as soon got out. He shook his dark hair dry and threw on a pair of shorts and tee shirt. He began to open his window, but remembered to grab his new headband before jumping out onto the roof. He could make it to the Academy in less than five minutes. And mom was worried about me being late.

Ry jumped from roof to roof with ease, cutting a good ten minutes off his journey. He had traveled this path many times before, but this time would be his last, he hoped. No more school! He was finally a real ninja of Konohagakure. He smiled at the thought.

The Academy roof came into sight, and with one last big leap, he had successfully arrived. He climbed off the roof and landed safely on the ground. Hm... So where am I supposed to meet this sensei? Damn, I forgot what the teacher told us... Something about team selections being different this year. Oh well, looks like I'll just have to find them.

He heard voices not too far away, so he walked around the building hoping to find someone who could point him in the right direction. Around the corner, he saw a tall guy with blonde hair, he must be the the jounin. He also saw another boy with blonde hair and glasses, but he didn't recognize him. "Hey there!" Ryoichi said, walking up to the two. "I'm Kentaru Ryoichi, but everyone calls me by my last name. So am I in the right spot to meet my team?"

Ry heard a loud thump over to his left. He looked over and saw the girl he had had a crush on for the past four years, Yajuu Ren. "Hey Ren," he greeted. "You okay?" She was so pretty and she was smart, too. But his favorite part about her was her personality. She was so full of life and optimistic. Man I really hope that this is my team.

[RYOUCHI SATO]

"You almost had it Ren. Good chakra control and everything. Just remember to concentrate on what you're doing." Ryouchi said as he walked over to Ren to see that she was alright. helped her off the ground. "We'll finish this up later, alright?" he said as he headed to his favorite spot under the shade of a tree and sat down. He released some smoke from his mouth and sighed.

"You can help her out later Dashe. Right now let's just sit around and get to know each other." Ryouchi said as he motioned him and Ren to sit beside him. He turned to acknowledge Kentaru as he walked by. He nodded his head to show that Kentaru could sit with them. He offered him some of the sushi he had prepared.

"You are welcome to join us Ry. " Ryouchi said with an inviting smile. Now that everyone was here, he could finally get things started. He felt it was in everyone's best interests to get to know a little about their teammates. He coughed a little to clear out his throat. With a warm and inviting demeanor he began to speak.

"Alright, now that everyone is here it's time to get things started. But before that, I would like everyone to get to know each other. After all, how are we a team if we know nothing about one another? I would like you all to state your names, interests, jutsu specialties, and what you wish to accomplish as a leaf village shinobi. Feel free to include whatever other information you feel comfortable sharing with us. I know this request sounds a tad like the beginning introductions of a school year, but bear with it. Now, would someone like to volunteer?" Ryouchi asked as he looked over his young students.

[YAJUU REN]

Ren looked over to see a friendly, familiar face, her face brightened up. "Hey Ryoichi. I'm fine, just enjoying the view from here." She giggled at her bad joke. Ren then looked over to Ryouchi who came by and picked her up to her feet, she would treasure the complement he had given her as she wiped the dust off her bottom. Ren nodded in agreement to finish and walked over to were Ryouchi and took a set next to him.

"Oh pick me. Pick me!" Ren raised her hand in the air, waving it frantically in an exciting gesture. Her smile was really big, but something seep in her told her to keep this short and maybe just answer the questions Ryouchi asked. And as if by a switch, she started with a deep breath to start her introduction.

"I am Ren Yajuu, I have a lot of different interests like meeting new people, especially those who are happy, and being by water. I specialize in water jutsu..." She hesitated for a moment to mention she can or can't use her clan's active kekkai genkai. "As for what I want to accomplish... Well I just want to surpass my older brother. Ya know, get past his shadow." Ren sighed, looking down at the green grass, kind of like a signal that she was finished.

[DASHE STORM]

'Wonderful seems their friends already,' Dashe thought sighing now as he adjusted his glasses. He felt like the odd man out since the two seemed to know each other already. He simply nodded and sat down on the oppisite side of their mentor with his back to him. Dashe then pulled out a small book and flipped it open beginning to read it. He briefly glanced at Kentaru pushing his glasses up again before turning back to his book again. He chuckled lightly at Ren's bad joke as he kept reading his book. He then looked up as their new sensei began speaking. It seemed he would have to reintroduce himself like back in the academy. He figured they would have to anyways. He watched as Ren introduced herself again. Once finished he snapped his book shut holding it in his hand.

"Name's Dashe Storm. I like to read a lot and like to meet new people and I specialize in electric type jutsus!" He then paused pushing his glasses up again and put his book away in his weapons pouch. "As for what I want to accomplish well there's a lot but clan laws don't allow me to talk about clan related stuff so I guess I want to make my own name for myself while travelling to see the world!" He then adjusted his glasses and leaned back against the tree closing his eyes signaling he was done now.

[KENTARU RYOICHI]

Kentaru smiled at the big guy's offer to join the team. He sat down with them, taking two pieces of sushi for himself. He thanked his teacher and ate the sushi in one bite. "This stuff is amazing. Compliments to the chef!"

Kentaru listened to his new teammates talk about themselves. He already knew that Ren was in the Yajuu clan and her affinity to water-type jutsu. Dashe, on the other hand, was a mystery. Kentaru intently listened to Dashe's description of himself. Electric type jutsu? That sounded cool. It must be his clan's kekkei genkai.

Wow. Was this really happening? These were the people he was going to spend the next couple years with. They were the two people he would go on missions with. The two whose lives he would protect, and protect his in return. They would be his friends.

"I'm Kentaru," he said with a wide grin on his face. "Well that's what everyone calls me. I like to train whenever I have free time, and once we get to go on missions I'm sure I'll like those, too! I also like spending time with my family, especially my little bro. I'm good with wind element attacks and I've know some basic genjutsu. I'm not the greatest at taijutsu, so I want to get better at that. Now that I'm a gennin, I want to protect my loved ones and set a good example for my brother."

[RYOUCHI SATO]

Ryouchi turned to his students. "Out of the three of you, the one who seems to understand the ultimate goal of a ninja is that of Ryoichi. His goal protect those he cares for and to set a good example to the younger ones shows the quality all ninja must have. That quality is selflessness. In the old days ninja were not seen as personal assassins with personal goals. They were seen as merely the hand doing what it was told by their village. Being a ninja is not about personal fulfillment, sure that is often a reward and is worth being sought after, but our main duty is to serve who we want to protect, preserve our ways of life, and to set an example for the next generation. This is why I am teaching you, for all of these reasons."

"Anyways, it's the first day, so I will not lecture you three beyond that. Now to divulge a little about myself. My name is Ryouchi Sato of the Sato clan. My interests are, good sushi, meditation, and sparring. My kekkai genkai has my body store lava with my body which I can release to devastating effect. My chakra also emits intense heat. I specialize mainly in ninjutsu and taijutsu and work with the elements of earth and fire.This is my first time leading a group of genin but I am certain that when I'm through with you three, you will all be fine shinobi. My goal with you three at the moment is to get you all ready within the year to take the Chunin exams and pass. I'm not going to play coy about my abilities, I am one of the best and when I'm through with you three I expect you to be at least to the level of ninja such as Sakura, Neji, and even Naruto. I know this goal seems a tad extreme to say the least but it's going to happen." Ryouchi said seriously but still with a cocky little grin. He unpackaged some more sushi and made some tea for his students. He motioned them to feel free to help themselves to his food and drinks.

"Today is not just a day for introductions, in terms of training you three I say the sooner the better. We will review chakra tree climbing and water walking. If you have already mastered these techniques, you will be expected to run up the waterfall at the Valley of the end. Once at the top are allowed to take a small break and then jump and run across the tree tops to meet me five miles away. You are not allowed to touch the ground until arriving where I am. Whoever has the best time on this course will receive a surprise reward from yours truly. If you have yet to master water walking and tree walking, stay with me and I will teach you." Ryouchi explained as he started walking towards the Valley of the End. He expected a lot from his protégées but was certain that they could meet his expectations. With him as a teacher, he wouldn't let them do any less. Though Ryouchi was a nice, easy guy for the most part, when it came to training he was as intense as Gai.

[YAJUU REN]

Ren listened carefully to what her sensei was saying. She then rolled in her mind as to follow him to better her skill in those acts or if she had it under control. Well I just can't get excited... Ren's blue eyes looked up to the sky, watching a cloud pass by. When her sensei started to leave she stood up and quickly walked next to him. Mentally she grabbed her head in anger, hating to show that she could be a weak link of her team, but she didn't want them coming back for her if she was going to be the last. "I'm coming with you so you can help me." She said quietly, looking down to the ground in shame.

"I would hate to be the last in this competition." Ren sighed hard and gritted her teeth. She could almost hear her father's grunt of approval. I'm doing this become better. Ren thought mentally cursing her brother for not helping her.

Dashe sighed facepalming now as his sensei spoke. How could he forget that part? So much for first good impressions. He was selfless as much as any other ninja was. He wanted to protect his whole clan and the village. He may have sounded a little selfish but maybe he was. He was tired of people only knowing him as the storm clan head. He wanted to be known by his own name. He then glanced at Ren sighing inwardly again. Their sensei must've been referring to her about that one part. He could tell she felt bad like she would hold them back. She had great potential like the rest of them she just had to stop long enough to see it. In no time she'd be strong like them maybe even better. He would make sure to train a lot with her and Kentaru before the Chunin exams started.

"I wont let you or the team down sensei!" When their sensei and Ren started walking off Dashe nodded once and then proceeded to follow a few feet behind them now. He glanced back to see if their other teammate was following them now. It seemed their sensei had a intense training course set up for them. His only real competition would be Kentaru but he wouldn't count Ren out just because she might seem like the underdog. Everyone knew Uzumaki Naruto had been the same and look at him now. Sure he was still a Genin but he was just as good as any chunin around maybe even a jounin.
