Naruto awoke with a yawn stretching as he sat up in his bed. Glancing at the window not it seemed light out now. It was his day off today so he had slept in until about midday. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and sat there placing his face in his hands and rubbing his temples profusely. He then looked up at his bedside table and spotted the old photo of team 7 in it. Those were the good old days when things seemed so simple to him. When Sasuke was his rival and part of the team still. Now they had Sai in his place and Yamoto there to keep an eye on him. After the incident with Pain they couldn't be too cautious now could they. The village had finally been rebuilt at least thanks to help from allies. A grumble from his stomach caused him to chuckle and look away to the window.
"Mmm Ichiraku ramen sounds pretty good right about now," Naruto said to himself. They were probably dieing to see him now. He was a big part of their business and claimed they'd go under without him as a customer. He then pulled his pajamas off leaving himself in his boxers and headed over to his closet to grab some clothes. He grabbed an orange shirt and black shorts along with his ninja shoes and headed into the bathroom. A few minutes later he emerged dressed in his casual clothes and headed out into the kitchen opening the fridge. It was almost empty so he'd have to do something shopping this afternoon. He then slammed the fridge and picked up his keys and pocketed them. He then proceeded to leave locking the door behind him. As he walked down the streets he was met with smiles and waves. He was a hero now after all they had finally truely accepted him. It was what he had worked so hard for but why did he still feel so hollow like something was missing.
"Naruto my boy there you are," the owner of Ichiraku called out now. Naruto smiled sheepishly waving back as he entered the curtains and took a seat at the counter. "The usual mister miso pork ramen," Naruto spoke up now. The owner nodded and began working on it. It seemed his daughter was out today. A shame he really liked talking to her when she was here. A few minutes later he was handed his first bowl and he dug in happily his ill thoughts forgotten now. He wondered what Sakura might be up to. Probably working at the Hospital again today.

(the admin said we could post since she could not check apps….) Hinata had been walking a long time, her long hair moving in her back at the rhythm of her steps. She was wearing her purple jacket and her normal blue pants, her feminine yet ninja-like sandals where making crushing sounds as she walked, she was hungry, which place was the best to eat in konoha besides Ichikaru ramen? none, Ichikaru was the best, Naruto always said that. As she greeted Ichikaru and kindly asked about Ayame, she wasn’t there, sadly. She walked in looked around and moving through the curtain just to find the blond nine tails holster sitting and eating in there, she felt her heart rushing and her legs trembling, her mouth wide open. She was about to run away but…she could not, she had to be strong and confident, she had expressed her feelings for him already anyways. “H-Hello Naruto-kun.” Hinata said kindly smiling, a blush forming in her cheeks. “ummm…C-could I sit here with you?” she said, nearly dying of embarrass, there weren’t many seats, actually just one at Naruto’s side.

Naruto looked up when he heard the stuttering to find Hinata standing there. "Oh hey there Hinata," Naruto replied smiling sheepishly. He couldn't help but notice she seemed a bit red in the face but thought nothing of it. "Sure you can join me. Slow day eh?" It was always a slow day when there was no missions. He hated taking days off but Tsunade insisted he did or he'd run himself ragged. He could be stubborn sometimes but that seemed to be one of his best qualities. Things certainly felt different now that he was a revered hero of the village after defeating Pain. The thought made him look up at Hinata for a few seconds. She had said something important to him that day. He had honestly forgotten about her confession up until now and the way she poured out her heart to him as she tried to fight Pain. He had almost lost everything that day if not for his father the fourth hokage.
"Is it your day off to? What have you been up to lately?" He then turned back to his bowl of ramen and finished it off. He was then handed another bowl and it let it sit there a few seconds before digging in. Hinata loved him and he loved Sakura at least he thought he still did. Her heart would always belong to Sasuke and he just had to accept that didn't he? That's why he had to bring Sasuke back for her sake. He hated to see Sakura cry so much. "Nice day today isn't it Hinata-chan? Say you wanna hang out today? I'm sure we both have nothing better to do right!" He couldn't say that for Hinata-chan but he could for himself. She was one of his friends after all so who better to spend the day with then her.

Hinata started to eat from her ramen she had asked for a few minutes ago and looked at Naruto as he talked, she could barely look directly at him. “Y-yes it is my day off. I haven't done much” Hinata replied simply, smiling a little as she pronounced each word, maybe she would be capable of talking to him directly without fainting? Then he asked to spent the day together, wait, what? “O-Oh….Sure Naruto-kun.” Hinata said, her hand forming a fist as she motioned it to her heart. -Maybe he doesn’t remember…- Hinata though as she looked down at her feet then back at her ramen as she continued eating. She then remembered about her training session today. “u-umm…Naruto…could you…I mean…in a while…like help me train?” she said, her embarrassment was pretty much easy to notice, she clenched her hands together as she looked at her empty bowl of ramen waiting for a reply.

He paused briefly when she asked him about training then proceeded to finish this second bowl. "Sure that'd be awesome Hinata-chan. I was looking to get some training in today anyways. It's always better to train with someone else right? I mean the saying goes it takes two to tango or something like that!" He never did understand Ero-sennin or his pervy ways. Still he did miss him a lot now that he was dead at least that's what he had been told though his body had never been recovered. He was handed a third bowl and he just let it sit there as he briefly glanced at Hinata again seeing her embarrassment again.
"You alright there Hinata-chan," he asked now. He never did understand Hinata that much. She always acted weird like that around him. Then again he did remember her confession. It felt a little strange for some reason that someone actually loved him. It felt so foreign to him and took some getting used to. Maybe after some training he'd ask her about it. Hopefully she didn't faint again or he'd never get an answer. He wasn't that intimidating to her was he? He smiled sheepishly and dug into his third bowl now letting his thoughts dwell on the subject a little more now.

“Thanks a lot Naruto-kun. I’m feeling alright.” Hinata said smiling warmly, she was feeling now more confident around Naruto, it wasn´t that bad to talk directly to him, she swung around in her chair, her hair spun perfectly as it titled to the side of her head as she moved her hand to keep eating, as she finished her bowl she looked over at Naruto: “You come here often don’t you?” Hinata asked, she already knew the answer she did only wanted to continue the conversation as she was now feeling uneasy about fighting and hurting Naruto with a jyuuken palm. But he needed to train too; she would have to do it anyways.

"Okay then if you say so Hinata-chan," Naruto replied. She had seemed quite nervous before but now she seemed to have eased up a bit. He smiled sheepishly turning back to finish his third bowl now. He looked up when she asked him about coming here. He smiled sheepishly slurping up the rest of the noodles now hands resting against the bowl as he prepared to drink the juices leftover. "For as long as I can remember. Y'know everyone hated me back then of course. It was one of the few places I could come and be accepted. I'd come here everyday almost. Guess that's why I like ramen so much pretty much grew up on it." Naruto smiled sheepishly then raised the bowl to his lips and began drinking the juices. A few seconds later he set it down and patted his stomach.
"That's enough for me now. So how about some training then Hinata-chan?" He smiled sheepishly turning his head to glance at her now. He should've figured she liked him a lot. She had been one of the first ones to accept him after all. He had taken a beating for her that day. She hadn't mean to knock that kid's icecream out of his hands. He should've ran away like he always did but he felt compelled to save her taking the beating instead. It was just the kind of person he was and always would be. Preseverence had gotten him to where he was now. He was a hero now the one who had defeated Pain of Akatsuki.

Hinata smiled still in her shy but also warm way as she finished her bowl and let her money in the place. Her white pearly eyes looking at Naruto’s blue eyes. She suddenly remembered those days when she would ran away… those days in which she thought she was not good enough and that she could not change, those days in which fate was real for her and those days in which she was completely not needed….useless. She smiled, she was now a new person, thanks to herself and thanks to Naruto, his cheerfulness and his warmth….he was just a perfect hero. Her hero. Their hero. Hinata placed her hands on her lap and turned her head back to Naruto, she closed her eyes and a smile spread across her face. “Sure, let’s go.” Hinata said, getting up.

Naruto flashed his trademark grin in response. He then reached into a pocket pulled out his frog wallet. It was kinda childish for a teenager his age to have it still but it held sentimental value to him. He then forked over the necessary amount of money and stood up patting his stomach again. That was enough to hold him for now but he'd be back a few hours later after training was over. He always burned off a lot of energy and chakra during training and that usually meant he built up a big appetite. Regardless of the reasons the owner loved Naruto's frequent visits. He was the source of his revenue for his business. The day Naruto stopped coming was the day he closed up shop.
"Well seeya around say hello to Ayame," Naruto said to the owner now. She'd be mad if she missed Naruto but she wouldn't mind as much so long as he said hello. He then turned to Hinata and smiled. "Shall we then Hinata-chan?" He then shoved his hands into his pockets and started walking off slow enough so that she could follow. He'd follow her to her training ground he guessed since she knew exactly where it was and he didn't. He occasionally glanced at Hinata wondering if he should ask about the confession. It was on the tip of his tongue now but wouldn't come out. Maybe after some training he'd ask about it.
